What is LBMA?

London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) was established in 1987 and headquartered in London by the Bank of England. LBMA is a global authority on precious metals. It sets international standards for precious metals, defines their refining degrees and participates the transactions around the world. As the largest over-the-counter gold trading market, LBMA has a membership of approximately 150 firms in more than 30 countries, mainly including active traders, refineries, producers, miners and fabricators in global gold & silver market, as well as those providing storage and secure carrier services.
